But still on probation? Yeah, definitely until we see if I can keep this up!

So Daniel has been moving forward in potty training this week... actually hitting the pot with a pile of numero dos a couple of days ago! We were so elated that I grabbed him up (after wiping his tushy) and did a "go-on-the-potty" dance! He loved it!

Unfortunatey, Daniel has within the last 24 hours inherited the squirts from baby Joel. So now, we are much less focused on hitting the pot with poopie and more focused on keeping his tush from looking like a peeled tomato. Poor Daniel-man. Thanks very much to J.S. for recommending the application of plain yogurt and to another friend for the follow-up corn starch coat. Let's just say that Daniel's serious commentary after this routine last night was "Yeah, that feels better."

Also in the news... Daniel now has learned that not every NBA athlete is named Michael Jordan. Now there is a second NBA player... Scottie Pippen. (Thanks to J.S. #4!) Today he asked daddy at nap time if Scottie Pippen would go in his crib. We're not sure if he meant his own crib or Scottie's, but it still has us cracking up...

His basketball defensive stance also continues to improve. Really he is quite the basketball fanatic - we might have a Pistol Pete android on our hands! At least he's not sleeping with his basketball yet. Anyway, we are looking forward to some one-on-one games with Uncles Bubba and Nathan along with Grandpa Chisholm at Christmas! It'll be here in just a moment!!
